After 20 wonderful years with Clandestino, a new journey begins with Memos.

Living in Berlin for the past eight years, immersed in the city’s vintage spirit, I found myself drawn back to the roots — to the place where it all began: India.

In Pushkar, the sacred village of Rajasthan, I reunited with the producers I had worked with many years ago. Their dedication and craftsmanship have only grown, and rekindling our collaboration felt like reuniting with family after a long separation. I dove into bundles of old saris, searching for the softest and most vibrant ones to craft a small summer collection. The familiar scent of old saris brought a wave of emotion. Yes, they have a distinct smell — a reminder of their rich history. I love working with
these fabrics; beyond their beauty, it’s an upcycling project, giving saris a new life in the garments they become. It feels like a beautiful rebirth.

The summer collection was warmly embraced by the people at Berlin’s markets. Inspired by their feedback, I created a winter collection: reversible, vintage-style jackets made from old saris with fleece lining — the ultimate Berlin party style. Cozy pullovers and thicker bombers combining teddy
fleece with saris became a favorite in Switzerland, where I sell my products at Christmas markets. The heartfelt response from Swiss customers fueled my excitement to create more, and work on Memos online presence.
